Valuing Age & Experience

The development of the Later Life Forum is in the response to the demographic changes taking place in the region UK wide and brings together organisations, agencies and individuals to champion the interest of older people. The purpose of the forum is to drive the independence, health and wellbeing of older people in the region and to change the perceptions about older people, following a scoping event in 2009 which looked at the membership of the proposed forum, how the forum could most effectively influence national policy and the development of a short term action plan the format of the forum was agreed.
