West Midlands Rural Community Council Network
The West Midlands Rural Community Council Network has been developed in response to the government trend towards regionalisation. It aims to ensure that rural needs and issues are represented to regional bodies/agencies in an informed and co-ordinated way. In addition to further joint working between the four Rural Community Councils (RCCs), the Network will work closely with other local and regional partners in consulting on and reflecting rural issues. It does this by:
- Assisting RCC’s to combat disadvantage and enhance service delivery to local communities
- Reflecting the interests of rural communities to regional partners
- Facilitating the engagement of local communities in the regional strategic agenda
- Sharing expertise and good practice amongst the four RCC’s
- Building capacity of the four RCC’s to deliver services with equity across the region
The Network is an informal, non constituted body.
