Regional Strategic Engagement Fund

The Regional Strategic Engagement Fund ran from 2001 – 2006 and was a ‘strategic’ engagement development fund for the voluntary and community sector operating at a regional and subregional level. This document explains its genesis, aims and management.

The fund aimed to:

  • provide capacity-building support to regionally and subregionally significant communities/communities of interest to enable them to engage in regional policy and startegy development
  • facilitate community and voluntary sector engagement in the development and management of Regeneration Zones.
