Policy Committee
The Policy Committee will be responsible for advising and guiding the external work of RAWM.
TERMS OF REFERENCE
The Policy Committee will be responsible for advising and guiding the external work of RAWM and in particular to:-
i. Advise and guide priority setting relating to the strategy, policy, participation and development, information and communication and research activities of RAWM.
ii. Assist the linking and co-ordination of the external work and activities of RAWM.
iii. Monitor the work of those Task/Reference Groups reporting to the Policy Committee.
iv. Provide advice and support to RAWM staff engaged in the external activities of RAWM.
v. Collaborate with RAWM’s Management Committee, as appropriate, to ensure the effective operation of RAWM.
vi. Carry out any responsibilities related to the external work of RAWM as agreed by the Board.
Membership
The Policy Committee will comprise:-
i. Half of the RAWM Board’s Membership, (determined at the first meeting of the Board after the AGM) one of whom shall be either the Chair or Vice Chair.
ii. Co-option of a maximum of five members drawn from Reference, Task and other Groups as appropriate.
RAWM’s Network Director will take lead responsibility for secretariat of the Policy Committee, but with other staff responsible for Policy, Development and Information attending as appropriate.
Chairperson
The Chairperson to be determined at the first meeting of the Policy Committee held after the AGM. The Chairperson will be a member of the Board.
Frequency of meetings
A minimum of four times a year.
