The primary purpose of the West Midlands Later Life Forum is to facilitate dialogue between the ‘voices’ of older people in the West Midlands Region [defined for these purposes as any resident of the Region over the age of 55 Years] and the representatives of those bodies [in all sectors, local and national, public and private, statutory and voluntary] responsible for the development and implementation of support services for those older people.

You are hereby invited to attend this years Assembly of the West Midlands Later Life Forum and thereby to participate in this process; to directly engage in a dialogue with our Minister of State for Pensions; to contribute to the development of the Forum’s Work Plan for the coming year and the issues that your representatives will take forward in their work with the UK Advisory Forum on Ageing and the Local Government Association Ageing Well Project, the current consultation on ‘banning age discrimination in services, public functions and associations’ and to hear about the newly launched campaign against loneliness.
