Getting People into Work: understanding the new learning and skills landscape

The new arrangements for the funding and delivery of employment and skills will impact on all providers in the further education sector. Outcome incentive payments, prime contracting commissioning models and the integration of employment and skills are now extending to the mainstream learning and skills programmes, as well as to welfare to work initiatives. This workshop will provide you with an insight into the new employment and skills landscape from a variety of perspectives, including inputs from the Skills Funding Agency and Jobcentre Plus. Breakout sessions will provide delegates with the opportunity to gain more detailed information on specific areas of interest and how providers can span both employment and skills markets.
