Supporting Life’s Journeys campaign is being co-ordinated by The Mentoring and Befriending Foundation on behalf of some 3,500 charities and organisations that combine to deliver mentoring and befriending services across the UK. The initiative is part of the 2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion.

You may be aware of the work of projects such as Share Friends, Birmingham City Council: Tackling social exclusion through a befriending service for adults with learning and physical disabilities in Birmingham, YSS Youth Support Service: Mentoring young people who are considered at risk of being involved with anti-social or criminal behaviour in Worcestershire or The Carers Federation: Providing specialist support to young adult and adult carers through mentoring across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

This event will give you an opportunity to find out about the valuable work being done by projects across the Midlands and highlight the value for money these services provide.
