If you are interested in supporting and developing organisations’ good practice then this Local Critical Friend’s course is aimed at you.

This course will provide practical support to enable you to develop your skills as a Critical Friend for education organisations that wish to achieve QiSS First Steps or Emerged, Established or Advanced recognition status for organisations.

Critical friends work in a variety of contexts and organisations to support and challenge voluntary organisations, children’s centres, schools etc in their strategic development. They work closely with individuals to assist them in becoming change agents at operational or strategic level. The aims of the course are to empower delegates in the use and understanding of quality assurance to audit and develop extending learning provision. In this way delegates will be able to assist learning organisations to improve strategic planning, respond to the needs of the community, integrate their provision and provide evidence of impact.

Critical friendship will empower leadership skills, develop good practice, enable quality assurance provision and improvement in the delivery of study support programmes.

Delegates who attend the course will be registered on the QiSS National Database as a Local Critical Friend will receive a certificate and Local Critical Friend’s logo as recognition of their skill.
