Continuing our work with children, young people & families in 2011 and beyond

This free conference organised by Children England and RAWM aims to bring together decison makers in VCS organisations, including CEOs, project managers and trustees, to look beyond the end of the financial year and prepare to move forward as effective organisations into 2011/12.

  • A chance to hear from the ‘experts’ on issues affecting VCS organisations working with children, young people and families, what you can do and how to get involved;
  • An opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge to see you through the tough times ahead and into the future with our high quality training workshops; and
  • A space to reflect, share and network with colleagues from across the region who share a commitment to supporting children, young people and families into the future.

This conference is specifically for voluntary and community sector organisations who exist to support children, young people and families in the West Midlands.

Confirmed keynote speakers include:

  • The Children, Young People and Families VCS: A National Perspective, Maggie Jones, Chief Executive of Children England; and
  • Charting the New World: Engaging Effectively with New Policies Structures and People, Sharon Palmer, Chief Executive of RAWM.

Training workshops will be delivered by experienced trainers in their subject and include (tbc):

  • Managing change in VCS organisations
  • Evidencing your project’s outcomes and impact
  • Working together to compete for contracts
  • Funding diversification
  • Keeping children safe
