Voluntary Sector Network (VSN), Dosti and Urban Forum have teamed up to invite representatives from voluntary and community sector organisations and Urban Forum members to this FREE half-day session to help you understand the implications of the Big Society and the new government's priorities and policies.

There will be analysis and practical advice from Voscur and Urban Forum on what's coming and where the opportunities lie. There will be a chance to discuss the practical implications of these plans and help inform Urban Forum's policy development work with the new government.

This session will cover (through presentations and discussion groups):

  • Government priorities and its legislative programme
  • ‘Big Society' and the government's approach to working with voluntary and community groups
  • What the emergency budget on 22nd June and the forthcoming spending review means for spending plans and cuts
