Equality Objective Setting and Equality Delivery System (EDS) – NHS West Midlands Local Interests

Aim: To provide an opportunity for Local Interests from NHS West Midlands region to be involved in setting Equality Objectives for April 2012 to March 2013.
Outcomes:
• Increase in knowledge of the Equality Act 2012 and the reason for setting equality objectives
• Local interests more aware of NHS West Midlands and wider SHA cluster commitment to equality and fairness
• Have had the opportunity to input into setting equality objectives and their role in supporting organisations to embed equality and human rights with the help of EDS
• Clarity how NHS Midlands and East and West Midlands are embedding equality and human rights into their priorities
