"Communities Matter!"

Community Matters' annual conference 2010

In March 2010 Community Matters launched their most important publication for a decade, Communities Matter - A Vision for Neighbourhoods, which called on a new government to recognise the vital role of volunteer-led community action in strengthening Britain’s communities.

Community Matters outlined some of the threats to community life in the coming months and years, and looked at some of the predicted demographic changes over the next decade. This kick-started a
process of examining Community Matters' role, its membership and the services it offers.

The 2010 Community Matters annual conference will take this process as its starting point - taking an honest look at the future of community action, examining the changes taking place in the way communities organise and act. As a delegate you will take part in discussions on how Community Matters, through its members and staff, can face the challenges ahead. Delegates will also be provided with the practical tools and advice to do the job.
