Children England Family Policy Network meeting

Further to the postponement of the Children England Family Policy Network meeting of 16th December this will now be held on the morning of 25th January at BAYC, Birmingham.

This forthcoming event provides a specific opportunity for the sector to explore current family policy and its implications for families in the West Midlands and agree the remit and role of a quarterly Family Policy Network for the region. The network meeting will offer:

  • An up to date brief to VCS organisations on the current policy environment for families
  • A forum to review the support needs of the sector
  • A mechanism to explore the challenges and opportunities for collaborative working to strengthen the voice of the sector and its work with children, young people and families.

Discussions will be informed by input from:

  • Kathy Evans, Deputy Director, Children England,
  • Jonathan Leach, Medical Director, Worcestershire County Council
  • Simon Cottingham, Programme Manager, The Children’s Society, Birmingham and the Black Country.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
