Join Age UK and ‘Action on Elder Abuse’ in the launch of a new toolkit designed to help third sector organisations develop and promote safeguarding and good practice within their staff and volunteer teams.

This free workshop will introduce and explore the toolkit’s practical ways of implementing a safeguarding framework by looking at when and how to use the toolkit, professional standards of dealing with abuse, understanding when to take action and the safeguarding framework. At the end of each workshop all delegates will be given a complimentary copy of the toolkit to take away.

In addition, Gary Fitzgerald from ‘Action on Elder Abuse’ will give a keynote speech on the importance of identifying and preventing abuse and local council representatives will explain how third sector organisations can make a valuable contribution to safeguarding in their area.

All workshops will start at 12 noon, with registration and networking opportunities over lunch. Speeches and activities will begin at 1pm and finish at 4pm.
