Aims of the workshop

  • promote environmental sustainability throughout the third sector and engage a broader range of organisations in addressing this issue;
  • raise awareness about sustainable development and sustainable practice in the third sector and how it can be incorporated into your daily operations;
  • facilitate better links between environmental goals and the wider social and economic goals and motivations of third sector organisations, individuals and communities;
  • encourage third sector organisations to lead by example in mainstreaming the principles of environmental sustainability into all that they do.

Is it for me? Yes!

  • with an increasing emphasis on environmental sustainability, if you are currently delivering a project or considering applying for European Funding, you will be required to demonstrate your commitment to mainstream sustainable development;
  • if you are eager to promote and strengthen environmental focus of your activities;
  • seeking to create positive environmental impact and maximise the long term economic advantage of operating in a more sustainable mode.
