As part of its new care models programme, NHS England are gearing up for a series of events from September to November:

The first event is the Health and Care Innovation Expo which takes place on 7 and 8 September 2016, in Manchester. The new care models programme has a large presence at the event with a dedicated New Care Models Zone in the heart of the exhibition. Most of the 50 vanguards are taking part and will be sharing their learning to date. They will also be answering questions about their models and their experience of implementing them locally.

Within the New Care Models Zone there will be 32 ‘booths’ where vanguards will be showcasing their work. They also have eight ‘pop-up university' workshops where vanguards and national experts will be coming together to focus on the issues that are key to their work, from empowering patients and communities, and workforce development through to harnessing new technology and working in partnership.

They are also looking forward to welcoming a range of health and social care leaders and commentators to speak at the New Care Models Zone. This includes David Behan, Care Quality Commission Chief Executive, Suzanne Rastrick, Chief Allied Health Professions Officer, Sir Sam Everington GP, National Advisor – New Care Models Programme, and Susan Robinson, National Director at Healthwatch England. Take a look at the website for a full overview of our plans for the two days of the event.
